Privacy Policy
The short version. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, share, or have access to anything you enter in Evena. Your entries are stored on your device. We have no accounts, no servers that receive your entries, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking.
1. What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, ratings, emotions, urges, skills, notes, check-in times, reminder times, settings, location, contacts, photos, health records, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers. The app has no user accounts.
2. Where Your Entries Live
Everything you enter is stored in the app’s storage on your device. We cannot see, recover, or restore it. If you delete the app or lose your device without a backup, your entries may be lost permanently. To delete your entries yourself, use Settings > Data > Delete all data, or delete the app.
Evena stores a small count of free check-ins used in your iPhone’s Keychain (Apple’s secure storage on your device) so the free limit isn’t reset by deleting and reinstalling the app. It contains no check-in content, never leaves your device, and isn’t linked to you.
3. Device Backups
The app does not sync to iCloud or any cloud service. However, if you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, iOS may include this app’s data in that backup, like it does for other apps. That backup is controlled by you and Apple under your settings and Apple’s terms. We do not receive it.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. We do not receive your name, payment card, or Apple Account details. Apple may give us reports about sales and subscriptions that do not identify you. Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to purchases.
5. Reminders
Reminders are scheduled on your device and are not sent from a server. Reminder text is generic and never includes your entries.
6. Face ID and Passcode Lock
The optional lock uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication. We never receive or store biometric data. Apple’s Face ID and Touch ID data stays in your device’s secure hardware.
7. Exports and Sharing
When you export a PDF, you choose where it goes using the iOS share sheet. We do not see it. Once you share it, it is outside the app, and the privacy practices of whoever receives it apply. Your PDF can contain sensitive information, so share it carefully.
8. Apple and Diagnostics
If you turn on Share With App Developers in iOS settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash and usage statistics. They do not contain your entries.
9. Contacting Us
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the request. Please do not include sensitive details in an email.
10. No Sale or Sharing of Health Data
Because we do not collect or have access to your information, we do not collect, share, or sell personal information or consumer health data, as those terms are used in laws such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act, other state privacy laws, or the Health Breach Notification Rule. There is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or provide to you.
11. Not a Medical Service
Evena is a self-tracking tool. It is not medical advice, therapy, or a crisis service. If you are in danger, call or text 988 or call 911 (U.S.).
12. Age
The app is for people 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
13. Security
Your entries are protected by your device’s own security (passcode, Face ID, encryption). We recommend setting a device passcode and using the app lock.
14. Changes
If we ever change this policy, we will post the new version with a new effective date. If a future version ever sends your entries off your device, we will tell you in the app and ask for your permission before it does.
15. This Website
This website (getevena.com) is a simple static site. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking, and it does not ask you for any information. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and secure the site.
